Applying for Membership

Direct Descendant

Membership for those that have a direct line to Gregorio, Ana, and their sons. The membership fee is $25 due upon application review. Members receive:

Voting Rights
Certificate verifying direct lineage or association to Gregorio Esparza
Lineage chart with your generation
Invitation to bi-annual meetings
Newsletter (Biannually)
Discounts for future reunions
Lapel pin

If you would like to purchase a membership for a member posthumous, the application is the same with the one time fee of $25. Whomever submits the application will receive the lineage chart and certificate on behalf of the posthumous member.

Young Defenders

Direct Descendant Membership for our young members under 18. With a one-time application fee of $25, they will be given:

Voting rights when they come of age (18 yr)
Youth member number
Young Defender Certificate
Generational lineage chart.
Young Defender Pin

Once they turn 18, they can transfer to full membership with an updated member certificate with the gold seal and a lapel pin. Same Application as a direct descendant.

Associate Member

Membership for those associated to our direct members. Typically spouses or friends. The membership fee is $20 due upon application review. They receive:

Certificate verifying association to direct descendant
Invitation to bi-annual meetings
Newsletter (Biannually)
Discounts for future reunions
Lapel pin

We also have a Friends of the Esparza Family Membership for those who wish to support Gregorio's family story. With a $20 dollar annual fee, you will receive:

Invitation to bi-annual meetings
Newsletter (Biannually)
Discounts for future reunions
Lapel pin

The files below should be able to help you in your application efforts. The descendant report only goes to the fourth generation to protect privacy. If you need assistance filling out a form please reach out to our historian George Benavides. The Genealogy page here on our site lists several online resources for you to use.

Why isn't my relative not in these Files?

If you can't find your family in the files, it simply hasn't been given or researched out enough. If you attended our reunion, you know how large our family is. Our goal is to have a resource for other family members to connect and we can only do that if family members are willing to contribute. We typically update this list once a month as new members join or we get additional information. If you would like to contribute, we only list out to 4 generations in this list at this time to protect privacy as much as we can. Please submit your information here if you would like to contribute. Most if not all this information can be located on public forums as well. This is provided and collected as a resource for our family.
